During this project we worked directly with Ascendant Facility Partners (energy savings group) to provide a solution to the school that would maximize performance while also being cost effective. We provided two different membrane options to replace the two roof sections in question; an existing TPO system and an existing standing seam metal roof (SSMR). After a thorough evaluation, we proposed a flute fill overlay membrane retrofit system on the existing SSMR and a full tear off and replacement on the existing TPO section. The membrane retrofit on the existing SSMR provided a cost effective roofing solution that improved the roof system R-value which contributes to greater savings with heating/cooling costs and allowed the district to avoid the expense and logistical issues associated with a roof tear off.
