STRONGER ATTACHMENTS
Instead of common smooth nails, FORTIFIED requires ring-shank nails, installed in an enhanced pattern, to help keep the roof deck attached to your home in high winds. In fact, using ring-shank nails nearly doubles the strength of your roof against the forces of winds.
CRITICAL AREA REINFORCEMENT
Full Deck Ice & water shield protection in addition to the places water and wind attack first: valleys, eaves, rakes, and around roof penetrations.
SEALED ROOF DECK
Roof deck joints sealed with qualified tape OR a fully adhered underlayment system — dramatically reducing the chance of water intrusion even if shingles are damaged.
INSURANCE & GRANT BENEFITS
Potential eligibility for Strengthen Kentucky Homes grants (up to $10,000) and mandatory insurance premium discounts under Kentucky law.
